Imagine the mythic fantasy of stumbling into an opening in the woods and gazing upon a giant bench, so clearly oversized that it could only be meant for creatures much larger than you. Or finding a beautifully crafted saw blade shaped object clawing out of the soil as if midway through cutting a path in the earth? These sights and many more are part of the Stevens Point Sculpture Park located at 900 North Second Street on the north side of Stevens Point. The park is open year round with free admission, and houses a mind-stretching array of sculpture. National, regional, local and student art is featured, as both temporary projects and permanent exhibits. Proposals to be considered for showing at the park are made to the committee and a majority vote accepts the submission. There are currently 22 artists with art featured on exhibit at the park.
